SCREENPRINTING DEMO AT EDISON

I have been hanging out with Seexeng Lee, the art teacher at Edison, in hopes that some of the students will sign up for the internship that I will be offering this summer. Today I showed them some of my projects and gave them a screenprinting demo.  They are a great bunch of students and I'm thrilled to get the chance to get know them.

MINNEAPOLIS' UGLIEST BUILDING?

This is one of my favorite buildings in Minneapolis.  It's so ugly that it's beautiful.  Every time I look at this building, I wonder what is in this walled stucco mess.

CAR EXPERIMENTS

Lately I have been driving around in my car with a fistful of overhead transparency markers and stopping to trace buildings of interest.  It's kind of hard to deal with the condensation and the concave nature of the window, but I think it will be a fun activity to start conversations around historic buildings.
